Do you love me more…?

This week we resume Bible Study exploring a final question from Jesus. In John 21, Jesus confronts the apostles in Galilee. How, when or even why these men were found fishing following the Resurrection we can only speculate. However, what’s clear in this passage is that Jesus is not done with them. The Lord confronts Simon Peter specifically with a question translated in the King James Version as “Simon, son of Jonas, lovest thou me more than these?” Followed twice more with similar inquiries, this question drives to the heart of Peter’s state of mind and his duty to the Lord and His church.

I hope you will join us this week as we go deeper into God’s Word to see how we should understand these questions and how we should respond. Find the lesson notes here and take a seat around the table this Wednesday, April 24th @ 7pm for prayer and study.
