Jesus told His disciples, “Blessed are the peacemakers: for they shall be called the children of God” (Matthew 5:9). One of the greatest blessings of this life is knowing God’s presence and being considered worthy of the title, “Christian.” Beside the blessing of a life of peace is being part of the peacemaking process. Strife is easy, but peace requires us to crucify our impulses and take the high road of humility and meekness.
